C&S AIR MOVES TO FIELDLOCATE TO SPEED ESTIMATE-TO-INVOICE
Located in Mansfield, Texas, C&S Air Inc. has been providing HVAC service to customers throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 2005. They’re also an authorized Lennox dealer, and when that manufacturer recommended that C&S Air switch their field service automation to FieldLocate, company dispatcher Melanie Benson began doing research.
“We had been using computer-based software, and we wanted software that was cloud-based,” Benson explains. “Our technicians were manually entering field invoices. Our paper cost was high, the invoices could be lost, and it was harder to pull up past invoices. We wanted something that would work with the iPad, because that’s what our technicians use.”
After looking at the easy-to-use software, with its simple entry and organized dispatch board, Benson was willing to implement the FieldLocate cloud-based mobile dispatch system. The benefits to C&S Air were apparent from the start.

Benson particularly enjoys the organized, highly functional dispatch board, which displays customer and technician location in a convenient map view, making appointment setting quick and easy. “I just look at the dispatch board to assign jobs to techs and know about their location.”
Because FieldLocate keeps all of the company’s information in the cloud, Benson and her technicians on the road can easily access customer and dispatch data from the convenience of a computer, smartphone or tablet—anywhere there’s an Internet connection. “We have no time wasted on double entry, or having to hand-write estimates and invoices,” she says. “Techs can enter data into FieldLocate themselves while on a job. They don’t waste the customer’s time with questions, since they can easily retrieve customer history during the job to specialize their service call for that customer.” The mobile is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
So far, Benson says, there haven’t been any customer disputes over billing or work completed, but she knows that the reporting capabilities of FieldLocate will back the company up should that occasion arise. “The tech can always go back and see the estimate and the invoice, which the customer approved, so there should not be a dispute of the bill.
